Baking a Cheesecake from Scratch at Your Lady Lake, FL, Apartment

Cheesecake is a great dessert to bring to potlucks, family gatherings, bakeoffs, and almost any other type of event you can think of where food is part of the festivities. If you love to bake, but have never tried baking a cheesecake before, we have a recipe for you to try.

Here are the ingredients you’ll need to bake a cheesecake from scratch at your Lady Lake, Florida, apartment:

• 1 cup graham cracker crumbs

• 1/4 cup finely chopped walnuts

• 3 tablespoons brown sugar

• 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

• 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

• 5 tablespoons butter, melted

• 3 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese

• 1 cup white sugar

• 1 cup sour cream

• 1 cup heavy cream

• 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

• 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

• 3 eggs

To make the cheesecake, follow these steps:

• Step 1 – Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, chopped walnuts, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and melted butter. Once mixed, press into a 9-inch springform pan. Bake the crust for 10 minutes, and then remove from the oven to cool.

• Step 2 – While the crust is cooling, combine the cream cheese and sugar in a large bowl and beat well with a hand mixer. Then, mix in the sour cream and heavy cream. Next, add in the flour and vanilla, mixing well. Lastly, with the mixer at a low speed, beat in the eggs one at a time. Once all of the ingredients have been combined, add this batter to the crust.

• Step 3 – Bake the cheesecake in the 350 degree oven for 60 to 70 minutes, or until the center is almost set. Then, remove the cheesecake from the oven, and refrigerate it for at least six hours before removing from the springform pan and serving.

You can top the cheesecake with fruit, chocolate or caramel sauce drizzle, or even chocolate chips to add extra sweetness to the dessert.
