With more options than ever before, many people are choosing to cut the cable cord and instead, use one of the many streaming services that are available for a much lower price. But which one is the right one for you? The two most popular services right now are Netflix and Hulu. Here is some information about each of them to help you choose which will work best for you.
- Netflix – Netflix is by far the most popular streaming service right now. Their selection is the largest of any streaming service and they offer a variety of TV shows, movies, and award winning original series. They provide recommendations for you to watch based on what you have watched in the past. Plus, they allow you to create up to 5 profiles on the same account, so your content doesn’t affect the recommendations for the other people you share an account with. Plus, there are no commercials at all. Their brand new content is limited and titles come and go frequently, but for the low monthly price, it’s hard to beat.
- Hulu – Although Hulu does offer a limited selection of movies, this streaming service is all about TV shows. They provide access to most major network shows (besides CBS), some of which are available the day after they air live. In addition, they also have the past seasons of their shows available so you can start from the beginning and binge watch as many episodes as you would like. Unlike Netflix, you do have to sit through some commercials, but not as many as you would if you watched the same shows on cable TV. Hulu also matches Netflix’s low monthly fee.
