How to Make Homemade Hummus

Hummus is a healthy snack that can be enjoyed anytime and goes great with carrots, bell peppers, crackers, or pretty much anything. The process of making hummus is actually quite easy and by following this simple recipe you will be able to make this delicious snack from the comfort of your own apartment.

Ingredients:
  • 1 can chickpeas (15oz)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tsp tahini paste
  • 1/3 tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
Directions:
  • Open the can of chickpeas and drain them into a colander (save half of the water) and then put them into a food processor.
  • Crush the garlic and add it into the food processor along with all of the other ingredients, including the reserved water.
  • Turn on the food processor and let the ingredients mix together until they’re smooth.
  • If the hummus looks to be too thick, you can add a little more water until you get the consistency that you desire.
  • Take a spatula and empty the hummus into a bowl and enjoy.
