Getting a Great Night’s Sleep at Your Lady Lake Apartment

At some point, we’ve all experienced a night where it just seems impossible to sleep. Whether it’s because of stress, too much caffeine, or just restlessness, an interrupted or irregular sleep cycle can result in poor concentration, exhaustion, and sometimes even health problems. Most doctors recommend at least seven to eight hours of sleep a night, although to some people, those numbers may sound like a luxury.

If a good night’s sleep seems like an infrequent occurrence to you, there are a few easy-to-adopt practices that you can use to help yourself sleep more restfully at your Lady Lake apartment. They include:

• Dim or turn off lights around your bed. If you fall asleep best while watching television, using a smaller set that is less bright is ideal. You can also turn your television’s brightness settings down or set the TV’s timer so it shuts off automatically.

• Find a room temperature that is ideal for you and stick to it. Most people prefer slightly cooler temperatures than normal when they go to bed so that they can bundle up when they fall asleep. If you don’t want to crank down the air conditioning too much, the ceiling fans found in our apartments at The Quarters can also be of use. Play with your AC or fan settings until you find the combination that works best for you.

• Avoid long naps during the day. Napping outside of your normal sleep cycle can throw off your body’s natural sleep schedule and make getting a good night’s sleep much harder.

• Drink water or milk before you go to bed. Sleeping on an empty stomach is rather difficult for most, so eating a light snack or having something to drink right before bed can be helpful.

Using these simple techniques, you will hopefully be able to experience more restful sleep at our wonderful apartment homes.
